Hi, I’m Andrea.

I am a certified Yoga Therapist and C-IAYT candidate, formally trained through Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy, a program accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), and a 500-hour yoga instructor.

I started practicing yoga 17 years ago primarily for weight loss and to feel better in my body. Soon after I started practicing regularly, I noticed I stopped having panic attacks, and my anxiety significantly decreased, which was not something I was seeking yoga for initially, but I’m thankful it helped. I started teaching in 2018 and continue studying other specialties and learning this ancient practice's origins to share its resources with my clients respectfully. My aim is to inspire self-empowered healing to lessen suffering, find steadiness, and balance in my clients’ day-to-day lives using the principles and practices of yoga.

In 2019, I suffered from postpartum depression and multiple physical issues, including sciatica, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, and trauma from giving birth. My regular hot power Vinyasa practice was not helping me; instead, it worsened my mental and physical feelings. I stopped practicing yoga and tried talk therapy and physical therapy, which helped some, but not enough. So, I sought a yoga therapist who, through a holistic therapeutic relationship, prescribed me practices that addressed my issues. My yoga therapist helped me reshape my yoga practice, taught me new tools, and relieved my physical imbalances. I could not be more grateful to her. My personal experience motivated me to become a yoga therapist, and I feel empowered and inspired to share this wisdom with others.

Today I specialize in the underserved population of women’s health. I have experience working with clients dealing with autoimmune disorders, cancer, pelvic floor issues, perinatal pathologies, anxiety, and depression. I also have experience working with clients with sports performance anxiety and chronic back pain.

Aside from yoga, I enjoy spending time with my family, husband, beautiful daughter, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, CrossFit, reading, and traveling.
